     According to the Government Accounting Office, about 200,000 service members transition out of the military each year. Many are not ready by their own admission.  Along the journey of on-ramping a young American man or woman, much time and effort goes into developing our modern day warriors. Each warrior faces years of training and combat to become an effective, lethal arm of diplomacy for the nation. There is an incredible opportunity to apply the same effort to help our warrior's transition back into the civilian world.  

     Saltwater Warriors is dedicated to breaking down the barriers standing in the way of our warriors asking for help.  We use the open blue space of the Gulf of  Mexico to reduce anxiety and stress for our veterans.  A day on the water with a peer group can help crack the door just enough to reduce the stigma unfortunately still associated with seeking mental health counseling.  Once the barriers are removed, for those warriors choosing to receive ongoing counseling, we ensure they receive mental health therapy at no cost.  Saltwater Warriors is truly an advocate in navigating veterans' mental wellness!

$20:  Lunch on the boat for a warrior
